About Fahzies

History

My first daughter owned a great coat with a matching muff. Then along came daughter number two. Inspired by my own fruitless search to find another muff, I started making Fahzies hand warmers in the fall of 2005.

Living in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a hand warmer isn't just cute, it is practical. So easy for even the littlest to use, and hard to lose, Fahzies protect hands from the chapping cold. Because of all the reasons you can have cold hands, and that even big hands need some warm Fahzies, a selection of muffs are now available for adults.

Fahzies are great for running errands, watching sports . . . any time you want to keep fingers warm!

Now I have expanded my offerings to include handcrafted notecards. I select each paper, sew the papers together and embellish each with some combination of cutouts, stamping and silk screening for a fun and unique look.

I have also added patchwork-style Christmas tree skirts and socks. Each item is a fun blend of fabrics and colors. (See sample below.)

Fahzies Measurements & Care Instructions

Kid Fahzies measure approximately 7.5" wide by 5.5" high (folded flat) and have a 28" neck cord or adjustable waist belt.

Adult Fahzies measure approximately 11" wide by 7" high (folded flat) and have a 34" neck cord.

All Fahzies have 3 layers: 1) their outer fabric, 2) a middle lining of batting, and 3) a shearling-style fleece inside lining.

Fleece and other select styles are machine washable and can tolerate machine drying. All faux fur styles should be surface washed (and never put into the dryer).
